Thought #445: Understanding Impact Economy Through a Quiz: Building a Bridge to a Complex Economic Model

Published on

Then I thought, we could put together a test on the topic of Wirkungsökonomie. There's a website by a scientist, a mathematician – she's created her own little world, and that world is very complex. She's gathered together a huge number of mathematical formulas on the question of how you can measure the sustainability of a new economic order, and she calls the whole thing Wirkungsökonomie.

Because it's so complicated, I think it isn't very popular, but that's a shame. And here we can build a bridge, by breaking it down with quizzes – so, a quiz on Wirkungsökonomie!

What's interesting about Natalie Weber is that, as a woman, she built and keeps developing this massive, complex website with so much knowledge all on her own – and in doing so, she's naturally shaping the whole Common-Good-Economy community in a major way, too, because she brings in this mathematical-logical lens and looks at the new economy, the new economic system, from a mathematical-scientific perspective as well. And she's pulling that off alone, as a woman – that's impressive – while Christian Felber, so to speak, has gathered a whole team around himself, and Martin Oetting isn't out there alone either.

So: hats off, dear Natalie, you're doing a great job – and maybe an opportunity for an exchange will arise!
